Latviešu diasporas ģimenes ar bērniem iesaistījās sportiskās aktivitātēs – rudens krosa stafetēs, kas veicināja komandu sadarbību un fizisko izturību.
Pasākuma laikā viņi gūva izpratni par Latvijas sporta tradīcijām.
Krosa stafetes veicināja arī dalībnieku spēju izprast veselīga dzīvesveida nozīmi, vienlaikus iepazīstot Latvijas dabu un tās sportiskās aktivitātes.
Bērniem un viņu vecākiem bija iespēja pārbaudīt savu izturību, atjautību, iepazīties ar jauniem draugiem, interesanti pavadīt brīvo laiku.
Dalībnieki skrēja dažāda garuma distances, pēc tam notika apbalvošana un dalībnieku kopīgā tikšanās, kas stiprināja kopienas sajūtu, saglabājot latvisko identitāti, attīstītot latviešu valodas prasmes, kā arī veidojot piederības sajūtu Latvijai.
